It's been a very long time coming, but I've finally found the time to drop everything that I was doing for a whole month and work on remastering this game.  It was originally created for NaNoRenO 2018 (game jam for visual novels,) but during that time I had  recently gotten back into art, and therefore the product that I put out was unsatisfactory in many ways.

I've since learned a lot more in terms of game development and art, and I can confidently say that this is an update that I am proud of.

Let's talk about what has changed-

Changelog:

• new sprites in new style
• new UI/GUI art
• Font change for dialogue 
• Bigger text for dialogue
• Cell phone for texting
• 3 new songs
• Title image

So what's to come?

Though it's gotten a very major update, the game is not 100% complete. It is a start to finish game; you can romance whoever (or not,) but writing was one of the things that I was not able to fit in the 1 month timeline. Though it isn't the worst thing I've ever written, it isn't the best either. On top of that, you'll notice that the events are still super monotonous, so you'll be doing a lot skipping through text that you've already read (Tab is about to be your BEST friend.)

For the future, I plan on doing at least 1 update per month. These may include:

• Animation
• some BG touchup
• CGs
• More events
• Japanese lessons (there's only 1 in)
• Calendar for events (like birthdays and holidays)
• 2 new characters that only have appeared in the fanfiction
• Updated storyline
• (possibly) more KHR characters
• More songs for karaoke
• More endings

Karaoke Neighbor is a fan game/dating sim slightly based in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn world, though you do not need any knowledge of the anime/manga. It contains 3 romanceable characters (one being Hibari Kyoya, the others being original characters) multiple endings and the study of the Japanese language (because why not?)
